International Exchange of Sato Urban Lab. Oita Univ.
* On 21 Jul. in '92, Korean architecutural student,
Prof. Kim Ick-wan and architect Kim June-Shuk visited Oita City.
* August in '94, I, Prof. Hagishima, and Takahumi
Arima went to England, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and Norway
in order to participate the International Symposium and investigate the
city planning of those countries.
* August in '94, Dr. Wann Yu, the president of
Korea Institute of City Planning visited our laboratory and Beppu municipal
office to investigate the research and the policy of landscape in Japan.
* Apr. in '95 We visited Taiwan to investigate
the environment of high dense townscape in Taichun City.
* July in '95 I and Mr. Ikaruga went to Australia
in order to participate the International Conference on Computers in Urban
Planning and Urban Management, and visited four cities to investigate the
city planning situation.
* Oct. in '95 the Asian City Planning Research
Group visited Inchon and Mokpo to investigate the city planning.
* 27 February in '96, prof. Watanabe and students
of Texas University at Austin visited our lab. and discussed about some
architectural topics.
* Aug. in '96, I and my students went to Pusan,
Kyongju and Taegu in order to investigate the Korean landscape and city
planning.
* Oct. in '96, I visited Yonsei Univ. in Seoul
to give a lecture on Japanese city planning and landscape.
* Nov. in '97, I went to Suzhou City in China and
visited Suzhou City Planning Bureau. Mr. Qiu, the manager director of bureau
received me. We discussed about the water environment and the city planning
problem of Suzhou.
* Nov. in '97, I visited Kumi City in Korea to
give a lecture in Korea Institute of Housing.
* Dec. in '97, I visited Bombay(International
Conference), Delhi(city planning investigation) and Chandigarh(Le Corbusier's
architecture) in India .
* Jan. in '98, Asian Urban Planning Research Group
visited Ujungpandang(International Conference), Jakarta(urban investigation)
and Bogor(Institute of Agriculture).
* Aug. in '98 prof Sato and his student visited
Korea to investigate the landscape condition of Seoul. They took a lot
of photographs.
* Aug. in '98 prof. Sato, research associate
Kobayashi and graduate student Li Yan visited Suzhou, Sonjan, Syushocheng
and it's environs to invesitigate the water environment of
China.
* Oct. in '98 graduate student Yuka Himeno, prof
Sato and research associate Kobayashi went to Kannung Korea to participate
the International Conference on City Planning held by Korea Institute of
City Planning.
